The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) has announced an expansion of a recall of cannabis vape cartridges.
This recall was originally issued in January 2023.
The OLCC's ongoing investigation evaluated that three more batches of vape products seem to contain prohibited additives. It says that these products do not meet state standards because they contain artificial CBN and CBC. Oregon law enforces that vape cartridges cannot contain artificial cannabinoids, and the synthetic CBC does not comply with OLCC requirements for non-cannabis additives. The recall includes cartridges that have been sold under the brand name Firefly Extracts or Smoke-Rite Wellness. The OLCC says that 7000 units have been sold from the recalled batches and around 500 units were still in the market.
These recalled products were made in an OLCC-licensed facility.

People who bought the recalled products are being asked to destroy them. The OLCC states it has not received any health-related complaints from using the recalled cartridges.
